Three kinds of help, one place to start

The right support depends on what the day calls for.

Families use the phrase “home health” to mean many different things. Lifecare offers three distinct service lines, each designed for a different kind of need.

Things to consider

This is general educational information, not medical advice. For an individual medical question, follow the guidance of the person’s physician or care team. In an emergency, call 911.

01

Skilled home health

Skilled home health brings nurses, therapists, aides, and medical social workers into the home when a physician-coordinated plan calls for clinical support. It may include nursing, therapy, medication support, or help during recovery.

02

Provider Attendant Services

Attendant support is for the daily routines that help someone stay safe, comfortable, and independent at home. That can mean bathing, dressing, meals, light housekeeping, errands, companionship, or help moving around the home.

03

Hospitality Hospice Services

Hospice is centered on comfort, dignity, quality of life, and support for patients and families. If hospice is being considered, a general conversation can help clarify the appropriate next step.

04

Sometimes the question is not either-or

A person recovering from an illness may need clinical care for one part of the plan and everyday help for another. Needs can also change over time. The useful question is not “Which service is better?” but “What would make home work better right now?”

  • Is the immediate need clinical recovery, daily support, or both?
  • What tasks are hardest without another person there?
  • What would help the person keep more of their usual routine?
We can help sort through the options

Tell us what is going on in broad terms and we will help you understand which conversation to have next. You do not need to choose a service before you call.
